Dr. István Komlósi presently acting as a dean of the Faculty of Agriculture-, Food Science and Environmental Management, University of Debrecen. He conducted studies in agriculture (Debrecen), quantitative genetics (Sidney, Armidale) and completed his PhD at Bangor University. His research area is breeding systems for which the Hungarian Academy of Science awarded him the title of DSc. He initiated several developmental projects.
Extended opportunities for the Visegrad University Association
The Visegrad University Association (VUA) was established to link partner universities in order to provide quality education and scientific environment and to promote development of closer cooperation among the Visegrad group as well as cooperating regions. The VUA provides opportunities for a great interaction between the 45 member institutions in academic and research activities. Universities have got a major role to accelerate the economic development of regions. The knowledge exchange amongst VUA members can also be an asset for regional development.
